Anxiety and worry
Persistent worry, anxiety, panic or feeling overwhelmed.
When things feel difficult to understand, having someone really listen can be the first step.
You don’t have to understand what’s wrong before you ask for help.
Therapy begins with having the opportunity to talk openly and be properly heard. From there, we can begin to understand what is happening, why it may have developed, and what might help.
My approach is gentle, collaborative and individual. We work together to develop a clearer understanding of what you are experiencing and make changes that feel meaningful.
“Sometimes the first step is simply having somewhere to talk.”
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be experiencing:
Persistent worry, anxiety, panic or feeling overwhelmed.
Feeling low, exhausted, hopeless or losing interest in things that once mattered.
The effects of traumatic or distressing experiences, whether recent or from further back in life.
Struggling to understand yourself or repeating patterns you don’t understand.
Transitions, loss, stress or circumstances that have left you finding it hard to cope.
Professional assessment when a clearer understanding would be helpful.
You do not need to know exactly what is wrong before seeking help.
There is no single approach that is right for everyone. My starting point is to understand you — your experiences, your circumstances and the things that matter to you.
We will work together to make sense of your difficulties and consider what may be contributing to them. As that understanding develops, we can identify approaches that may help you differently and move forward.
Therapy should not be about telling you what to do. It is about helping you understand yourself well enough to make choices and changes that are right for you.
